Knight introduces bill to create St. Francis Dam memorial

Santa Clarita Valley Congressman Steve Knight introduced a bill Wednesday to make the site of the St. Francis Dam disaster a national memorial, continuing an effort that has been pushed for years by local residents.
“This is a priority in Santa Clarita, it really is,” Knight, R-Palmdale, said Wednesday. “You’re talking about an almost-100-year-old disaster, one of the biggest man-made disasters in history, and it’s really got no marking out there.”
