Knight named to Republican law enforcement task force

Santa Clarita Valley Congressman Steve Knight, R-Palmdale, has been named to a Republican task force with the goal to “understand and resolve general issues between law enforcement and the communities they serve.”
Knight, a former Los Angeles Police Department officer, is one of 11 Republican lawmakers named to the Law Enforcement Task Force, backed by the Republican Policy Committee, formed after tensions between police departments and minority communities throughout the country, according to a news release issued Wednesday.
