Steve Knight Earns Endorsement From U.S. Chamber of Commerce

Last Wednesday, the United States Chamber of Commerce hosted an endorsement event for Steve Knight for the Congressional election in California’s 25th District. The Chamber lauded Congressman Knight for his work supporting small business, promoting free trade, and encouraging economic growth.

Jennings Imel, Executive Director of the Western Region for the Chamber, helped organize the event at the Junkyard Cafe in Simi Valley.

At the event, both Knight and officials from the Chamber expressed gratitude for the positive work each had done to encourage America’s new economic prosperity.

“Steve Knight has been a steadfast supporter of free enterprise policies and has demonstrated the courage to govern and get things done,” said Imel.

In Congress, Knight sits on the House Small Business Committee, and has passed legislation helping small business and the economy.

The SECRET Act, Knight’s bill to expedite the federal security clearance process, received bipartisan support and was signed into law so businesses with federal contracts have quick access to talented and capable workers.

Knight has also voted to reform the broken tax system and eliminate undue federal regulations.

“By supporting commonsense regulatory relief and pro-growth tax reform, Congressman Knight has played an integral role in America’s economic renewal,” said Imel.

The United States economy is performing exceptionally well as a result of actions taken by leaders like Knight. In May, the Bureau of Labor Statistics announced that the unemployment rate had reached a the lowest level in years, and GDP growth has reached as high as 4%.

Along with his votes in favor of pro-growth policy, Knight serves as the Chairman of the House Subcommittee on Contracting and the Workforce.
